Plan your trip – tripsteri app

The travel app, Tripsteri, will enable visitors to find top attractions regardless of time and place. Tripsteri App provides the user with an overall view of important places to visit, introducing themed tours and allowing the user to customize tours to suit their individual needs. Free to the user, the app allows the visitor to tour for example tourist attractions and urban development sites, and to virtually visit the cities from any part of the world.

To arrive to the Congress, please use doors M4 or K4.
Door M4 faces Mannerheimintie (when arriving for example from Scandic Park or Crowne Plaza hotels) and
door K4 faces Karamzininranta (when arriving by taxi or train or from city centre).

Arrival from Helsinki Vantaa airport to the city centre

There is an on-going renovation at the airport so we would advise you to reserve enough time both on arrival and departure. It is possible to take the local train, Finnair bus, Helsinki Region Transport bus or a taxi to arrive to the city centre. The construction causes changes in locations of the taxis and buses and they may vary weekly; so instead of being able to give exact location, please follow the signs at the airport and/or read more from

A taxi between the airport and the city centre takes approximately 20-25 minutes and costs around €40-45. More here.

Young Cardiologist Corner on 3rd floor

Young Cardiologists are invited to gather around on Monday, June 10 during the welcome reception to a Get-together. Create your network! Area on the 3rd floor has a lounge area, some work spaces and also allows to charge the devices.

Speaker’s lounge on 2nd floor

Speakers and case presenters are invited to download their presentations
at least 2 hours before the beginning of their session or the day before if
the session is in the morning. Speaker’s lounge is located on the 2nd floor
next to the Finlandia Hall. Opening hours:

Exhibition and Coffee

Coffees are served at the exhibition area on several locations.


Congress delegate lunch is not included in the participation fee.
On Tuesday, June 11, lunch boxes will be served to the participants of the industry sponsored lunch satellite symposia. You will be able to join the lunch symposia without preregistration but please note that no special diets can be provided for last minute participants. Please, also notice that some of the industry sponsored satellite symposia are open for medical doctors only.
Delegates can also have lunch at Café Veranda on the ground floor of the Finlandia Hall. Café Veranda and the park patio are open from Monday to Friday between 9.00-19.00. Weekdays at 11.00-14.00 the cafeteria offers vegetarian soup of the day and a selection of salads. Prices range from 7,40 € to 14 €.

Banquet Dinner

The Banquet Dinner will be served at restaurant Vanha ylioppilastalo, the Old Student House (address: Mannerheimintie 3), on Tuesday, June 11 starting at 19.45. Banquet Dinner ticket is required for entry. Dress code for the event is dark suit/business. More about the evening at

Industry sponsored satellite symposia

Pharmaceutical and healthcare technology companies organize a high level scientific programme under the heading “Industry sponsored programme” on Monday and Tuesday. Learn more about how pharmaceutical and healthcare technology innovations can help to advance the wellness and care of patients. No preregistration needed.
Due to recently strictened medical marketing laws in Finland some of the industry sponsored lunch satellite symposia on Tuesday, June 11, are open for medical doctors only.

Poll Everywhere audience response system

Poll everywhere is a web-based audience response system used in the
sessions and practical tutorials. The audience can respond via SMS texting
on their mobile phones. Instructions including user name and password
will be given at the beginning of each session.

Please, take your Receipt of the payment or passport with you and show it at the registration desk (we’ll find your name badge easier).

If you have not yet received the Receipt, your payment has not come through. Full payment of the registration fee is to be made prior to the congress in euros (EUR). In this case we’ll ask you to pay by credit card or by cash at the registration desk onsite.

New registrations on-site are welcomed – methods of payment are credit card or cash (euros).

Congress badges

Please, wear your badge at all times during the congress. No badge – no entry to the exhibition or lecture halls. Lost badges: You should consider your personal name badge as a valuable entry ticket. If you should lose your badge 50 euros fee will be charged for replacement.

Lost and found

Lost and found items can be recovered from the registration desk, 1st floor.


Left luggage and cloakroom are located at the 1st floor. There is a possibility to leave your luggage to the cloakroom should you need to leave straight from the venue to your flight/train after checking out from your hotel in the morning.

Electrical outlets and work spaces

Need to work or to charge your device? Electrical outlets and work spaces are provided on the 3rd floor foyer (Young Cardiologist Corner).


BCC photographer will be taking photos on the premises on Tuesday, June 11. Photos will be used by Finnish Cardiac Society in the membership journal and on the and websites.

EACCME®- feedback and certificates

An application has been made to the EACCME® for CME accreditation of this event. Due to large number of applications pending at the EACCME office the accreditation has not been received yet at the time of the printing of this programme book.
We encourage you to give feedback – participants will only be able to receive their certificate of attendance once they have completed the feedback form. Link to the feedback form will be sent to the participants after the congress. Participants can only receive the number of ECMEC®s corresponding to their actual attendance. Only one of the parallel sessions can be recorded per person simultaneously as attented. Code bar readers will record attendance until 10 minutes after the session starts.
Finnish continuous medical education accreditation has been applied.
